Our news module is good news!


News items are the fastest and easiest way of maintaining a good search engine ranking.  When your site presents new content on a regular basis, search engines return more frequently to index the data.  With Rickshaw's news module, all the management is done for you.

You see, it's not only important that new information appears on your site, but that old, irrelevant information is removed.  Normally this would require you to trawl through your news page looking for out of date news items that make the site look stale and unkempt.

The news module automates the archiving of old news items for you by allowing you to nominate a "use by" date for each news item.  The "use by" date tells Rickshaw that the news item is no longer relevant and it ceases to appear in your site's listing of current news items.  Your old news items are not lost however! You can revisit any archived news items as easily as a current news item.  You can even resurrect them by nominating a new "use by" date.

But that's not all: You can nominate a "live" date for news items so that important announcements coincide with important events such as trade-shows, product releases or holidays.  You don't need to be near the computer anymore because Rickshaw keeps track of when your news items need to go live, and does the work for you!
